Over recent months the SAC Trustees have been considering how best to strengthen and develop our ministry with the resources available to us. After much discussion and prayer we have agreed to enter into a strategic collaboration with Interserve GBI.
What does this mean for South Asian Concern?
From spring 2018, SAC will be entrusting our UK training and equipping ministry to Interserve GBI. This will result in a much larger group committed to the task of reaching out to Hindus and Sikhs and will also make our resources more widely available through their Kitab website. These resources include the East+West Training Course and popular titles such as Chapatis for Tea; Lions, Princesses & Gurus; Notes for the Journey and Engaging with Hindus. All future enquiries and requests for materials, training or advice should be made to Interserve GBI.
SAC will continue to focus on developing our ministry with our partners in South Asia, where there are so many opportunities and challenges, and a great need for increased funding. We will also go on working among the South Asian diaspora worldwide, researching opportunities and sharing resources to reach out to South Asians and others.
Ram Gidoomal, Chairman of South Asian Concern, said: “We need to show how Jesus is good news for all people. This strategic collaboration will lead to greater effectiveness in equipping churches to develop relationships of love, hospitality and service with Hindus and Sikhs.”
