What people say about Diaspora Mission:
Diaspora Mission is an amazing story of what God can accomplish through individuals and families where vision is infused with faith and prayer, pursued with unity and teamwork and realized with humility and perseverance. South Asian Concern (SAC) is truly “a planting of the Lord” with its sprawling global branches having missional Kingdom influence. I have been privileged to watch it grow!

The good news is that the world is on our doorstep. My friends at South Asian Concern offer us here a helpful model of how through partnership, there’s lots for us to learn from each other as we work together on God’s mission to the nations.

Twenty-five years ago the founders of South Asian Concern imitated our Lord as they looked upon the crowds of South Asia with compassion, seeing the masses that were like sheep without a shepherd. By faith in the promise of a plentiful harvest, they stepped into the sweeping river of God at work. Whether a professional missionary or a business professional, you’ll see yourself in these pages. As you read, I know you’ll enjoy the story, but I hope you also recognize the principles necessary for any great, global work: prayer, teamwork, a diversity of skills, and many more. I thank God for these past 25 years and eagerly look forward to the next 25.

The emergence of SAC is an amazing adventure story, as a group of individuals inspired by God find each other, and share a vision to make an impact on the lives of millions of people. The book is both an enormous encouragement but also a challenge to take steps of faith, trusting God, as they set an example to us all, pushing through barriers, with creative responses to needs and looking to find new innovative solutions to long standing problems. As an Evangelical Alliance, I’m thrilled that we have had a small part to play in this great adventure.

Dreams sometimes do become reality. Perhaps however even the early dreamers who established South Asian Concern could not have seen the impact they would have in equipping South Asian followers of Christ in leadership and mission.
